After feedback from Facebook users and a graphic designer I can now publish my new logo. Aspects and the idea from the original has been kept such but in all this is a brand new logo with a fresh, clean, professional look…….. I hope you agree?
Rooney
A new website logo……..coming soon!
My logo was starting to look a bit unclear and untidy and so I have decided to refresh this and produce a brand new logo based loosely on the old logo. I want the new logo to be relatively modern, say who and what I do and also have an interactive side/an element that changes every few weeks (a bit like what google do on their home page) Based on some Facebook feedback and the input from a graphic designer I have produced a range of concepts. Over the next few days I will take one of these concepts forward and start to use it as my new logo. Below shows some of the concepts that I have produced.
Rooney Update
Just a quick update regarding the World Cup painting that I started a few weeks ago. I have managed to paint in most of Wayne Rooney’s details using the templates I created on the Laser Cutter, I have also painted the sides of the canvas and added the lettering. The white oil paint is now drying and awaiting the St George Cross to be added, all being well this should be completed on Thursday, ready for the World Cup festivities to begin.
Babbington Lane Update
Was able to spend most of Saturday afternoon adding more details to the front of Potts Shop. I am now waiting for this to dry before objects into the shop window are added with some reflections. I am also hoping to add the Bright Red R F Potts sign once the painting has dried a little more.

I was thinking how I could create a quick yet effective canvas that would show that we are backing England in the upcoming World Cup. I decided that a mixture of my style, Banksy and a bit of technology would be an option to test and so I created some Wayne Rooney templates on 2D design and laser cut these out. I will then use the templates to paint onto an A3 Canvas. I am not sure how it will come out but at least I can say it will be completed for the England’s first game against Italy in 2 weeks time………..keep checking back for latest updates.

Painting underway!
Lets get ready to paint.
Babbington Lane
Happy Birthday Jane :-)
Happy Birthday Jane, Hope you like the painting and have a great day whatever you get up too.
So this is it people, the painting that I have been working on in secret for the past few months. Really happy with how it has progressed and how much better it looks when compared to my very first painting of Buxton Opera House, which was completed in December (#13)

I am now working on a piece based around Babbington Lane, Derby for another client. keep checking back here for updates, oh and enjoy Bank Holiday Monday.
A Little Bit More.
Schumi
A true racing legend in his Ferrari from the year 2000, the first year in which he won the world championship with Ferrari and his third. I am painting this on an A3 canvas in oil paint and for no particular client. I am estimating that all been well it should be finished within the next few weeks……….. fingers crossed for a speedy recovery Schumi 🙂
Buxton Opera House – Finished :-)
Its finished…………. after spending a large amount of time over the weekend I finally managed to finish the Opera House. This has been drying since the weekend and so will be ready for scanning and putting onto the website in the next few days.
Below is a sneak peek of the finished painting…….. please check back here on May 4th (may the “fourth” be worth you!) to see a final detailed image of the painting and some more details.
In the meantime I now have new work to start with a new client along with starting a painting of Michael Schumacher (one of my all time hero’s, get better soon 🙂 )
Nearly there!
Work continues now at a rapid pace. Most of the Opera House and Conservatory are now completed and work has now started on adding the road. The glass conservatory towers will be added next along with trees and finishing details, all been well I am expecting a weekend finish 🙂
The end is in sight!
Work has now started on the glass conservatory that sits next to the Opera House of its right hand side. The underlay was painted at the weekend and now that this has dried details such as frames etc have started to be added. All been well this should be completed by the end of the weekend. The deadline for the painting is the 4th May (may the force be with you!) but am pushing to have completed mid April?
A massive leap forward!
After spending a few hours over the weekend adding detail to the main Opera House Building the project has now taken a massive leap forward. The Opera House (bar from some signage) is complete along with St Johns Church and the Old Clubhouse. I have now started the underlay for the glass conservatory and detail with start to be added to this once the underlay is dry and I get some more free time…………. all been well I am aiming to finish the painting mid April?
I’m back!
I have now been working on Buxton Opera House after my travels abroad for the past week. Pleased to see that the main bulk of the Opera House is complete, minus a few details. Over the weekend I am planning on adding some details and also starting to block the conservatory in.
Away for a while………
Due to skiing in Tignes and Courmayeur (aren’t I a lucky boy!) work on Buxton Opera House has ground to halt until I return. I have loads of cool pictures from my travel to Tignes though 🙂 Work on Buxton Opera House will recommence week beginning 10/03/2014.
In the meantime the picture below shows the Opera House in its current form and the other of me on the Grande Motte Glacier in Tignes.
