Lewis Hamilton

Work is progressing well on the painting of Lewis Hamilton. Both front tyres have now been amended with details added, the same will also happen to rear tyre too. Most of the graphics and logos have now been added to the body of the car, and I am now aiming to update the rear wing and add graphics to this too.

Work on the painting of Lewis Hamilton is slowly progressing. I have managed to rework the front left tyre and add graphics/logos to the front nose cone of the car. I have also started to rework the front right tyre although this is yet to be finished. Still on track for an end of April finish.

Having spent some time on the painting on Lewis Hamilton over the past week its great too see that the rear of the body is now complete. Detail around the rear wings was particularly tricky but overall I am happy with the end result. I am aiming to add the rear wheel and to start adding the advertising to the rest of the car over the next few weeks.

How exciting, my first post since June 2015! Wondering where i have been hiding all this time, well i have been kept very busy with my new job and a few other bits and bobs. Either way I’m back! Anyway I was able to blow the dust of my painting of Lewis Hamilton and make some much needed progress. I was able to add the rear wing and the body work around the Vodafone logo. Honestly I was nervous about ruining the painting, especially after not touching it for such a long period. I am quite happy though with how the painting went today, with a little more time I reckon I can have this finished by Easter?

The painting of Mika Hakkinen is now complete too, a full image of this will be made available on Saturday for all too see.

After spending a majority of Sunday afternoon and evening it was pleasing to see some really progress been made with the painting of Lewis Hamilton. I have now completed the engine cover and finished the cameras. I now plan to track back to Lewis’s Helmet and body work around this area before moving onto the tricky rear section of the car.

Work on the painting of Lewis Hamilton continues at a steady place and so far I am happy with the surface reflections and shadows. I have spent some time adding more detail to the front nose cone along with finishing the front wing along with adding the first wing mirror and associated bodywork above this. I am now aiming to move onto the main section of the car around the vodafone logo with the paint brush.

After a week break for Christmas and New Year I have made some more progress on the painting of Lewis Hamilton over the past day. I have managed to add some more body work at the front of the car behind the front wing and around the front nose cone. I will continue to now add the rest of the nose and other details before moving onto the rest of the body.

I have started working on the painting of Lewis Hamilton in his McClaren from 2008. I have started on the left hand side of the painting and will slowly move over the right hand side. I have managed to paint most of the front wing but a few more panels need to be added before it is fully completed.

With both Schumacher and Alonso now complete my next project will be Lewis Hamilton from 2008 followed by Jenson Button and Raikkonen, this will complete the F1 Champions of the Noughties range.

Thanks to #FernandoAlonsoOficial for all his hard work at Ferrari, shame we couldn’t of given you a better car to have kicked more ass.

Alonso

Just another very quick update. The painting of Fernando Alonso is nearly complete after I spent 5 hours adding the track to the painting. I still need to add the steering wheel and a few other details along with amending the shadow on the front left tyre (it looks like it is floating above the track) I am hoping to complete this on Saturday before leaving it to try for a week before scanning.

This will be my last post before revealing the final image so please check back here next Saturday to see the final detailed scanned image.

Next Lewis Hamilton in his McClaren from 2008!

All being well the painting should be completed by next Sunday. Once dry I am hoping to scan it and if time is available have a professional print made before the Christmas Holidays.
