So here is the final image of the painting of Michael Schumacher. I really enjoyed painting this, a great challenge and something I would like to continue painting in the future. The painting was also completed on the day Michael went home from hospital which is great news……….. keep fighting and believing Schumi 🙂

A special message for Michael :-)

A special message for Michael 🙂

I will now be working on a painting of Tissington Church (due for completion by christmas) for a client. In-between this though I am planning on painting Fernado Alonso in his Renault from the 2005/2006 season, followed by the other F1 champions of the noughties!

Just a quick update to let you know that the painting of Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari F1 2000 car at the San Marino Grand Prix 2000 is now finished. Please see the sneak preview below. I will post a more detailed image and update within the next few days, in the meantime the painting needs to dry before a scan of it can take place.

I spent Thursday evening adding a few more details to the car and adding the background to the painting. I am aiming to over the weekend add the race track as well as add some more visor and glove details along with finishing the shell logo on the front of the car. At present I am still “on track” to finish the painting next weekend 🙂

After spending 8 hours over the weekend with a very fine brush the painting of Michael Schumacher is now nearing completion. Back wing details, helmet details, front nose and front wing details have now all been added along with side mirrors and a few other bits. Some details though still need some extra details but these can only be added once the paint has dried. I am aiming to have the painting completed for the 2nd weekend of September.

Just another quick update on the painting of Michael Schumacher. I have spent the day adding and finishing back wing details along with starting to add cockpit and helmet details. The cockpit details and helmet though still need extra details adding but this can only be done once the first layer of paint has dried. I have also spent some time tidying the front wing and adding the right hand part of the wing, again though this will need reworking once dry.

With me returning back to work I have not been able to spend as much time on the painting over the past week. Again though I have managed to make some progress with the painting and have now finished the final tyre. I am hoping to add some missing details over the bank holiday weekend and to add either Michaels helmet and to add some more details onto the front wing.

Work on the painting of Schui has continued over the past week. I have spent time reworking the front right tyre as well as adding the back right tyre and suspension. I have also added the front left tyre, this though was difficult and took much time to get to a standard that I was happy with. The work is currently quite wet and so will need a few days to dry before work on the last tyre can be made.

After a long break I finally had some time to rework the painting of Michael Schumacher yesterday. Unfortunately I had over the past few months left the painting facing the sun in the conservatory meaning that it had faded greatly and had turned orange. It took 5 hours to rework but I think it was worth it, aiming to progress this painting a little more over the week before I go back to work next Monday.

A Little Bit More.

Am still working on the painting of Michael Schumacher in his F1-2000 car. The main part of the body work is now completed and once dry work on the back and front wings will commence.

With a majority of the body complete I can now move onto the Front and Back wings

Schumi

A true racing legend in his Ferrari from the year 2000, the first year in which he won the world championship with Ferrari and his third. I am painting this on an A3 canvas in oil paint and for no particular client. I am estimating that all been well it should be finished within the next few weeks……….. fingers crossed for a speedy recovery Schumi 🙂
