Corbar Cross

The painting has progressed rapidly over the past few days and is now nearly completed. The wall, perimeter fencing and shrubs have been added along with some missing sky details. All that is needed is the barbed wire which will be added once the painting has had chance to dry.

Nearly completed, just the barbed wire to add.

Corbar Cross

The painting of Corbar Cross has progressed very quickly now the main cross and snow on the ground has been added. With the adding of the wall in the foreground the painting could be completed by the end of next week, this will allow me to start a different image (Solomans Temple)

Summer Sun!

After a very tough week at work (poorly and run down) I decided that I was going to relax in the garden for the weekend and do some painting and so I converted my home made outdoor bench into a work station. Over the weekend I was able to work on Babbington lane adding more Potts window details, the shop sign and some more windows and glass above the shop. I also managed to add some clouds, vapour trails and a rough outline of the cross to the Corbar Cross painting.

I have decided to start an A3 Oil painting of Corbar Cross in Buxton. This is based on the same image that was used to create an A4 chalk image of the same feature earlier this year. At present I have only had time to draw the image onto the canvas but I am hoping to add the sky using oil paint a little later in the week. I am also planning on completing a little more work on Babbington Lane and also completing the image of Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari F1-2000.

Corbar Cross

Have spent a bit of time over the past few days adding the sky to the Corbar Cross painting. I still want to add a few more layers for clouds etc on but will have to leave it to dry until weekend. As you can see there are a few more shades and colours used when compared to my previous paintings, this is to try and reflect a setting sun better.
