Work continues on the Lanarksire and have spent a few more hours adding some more body details towards the back of the boat. Over the weekend I plan to complete the section under the chimney along with adding some funnels and pipes around this.
Mika Hakkinen
The painting of Mika Hakkinen continues to progress. I spent most of this weekend adding the front left tyre. This took longer than expected though as my first attempt didn’t feel/look quite right. I am now much happier with the second attempt and this is now drying before I can add more detail to it.
The Lanarkshire

With the deadline date fast approaching I decided to spend a majority of my free time over the weekend progressing with the painting of Mika Hakkinen. I have now completed the back wing and most of the bodywork on the car. I have also had time to start painting the helmet and front wing although these are still not completed. My next task will be to add the left had tyres and add more details to the helmet and front wing, I may also have opportunity to start adding sponsor logos etc.

Just a quick update regarding the Mika Hakkinen painting. Last night I was able to paint the top camera and the engine cooling duct to the painting along with a few other minor body work details. I am aiming on Sunday to complete a majority of the bodywork, finish the rear wing, roughly paint in the helmet and (if time is available) start the front wing.

The painting of Mika Hakkinen has continued to progress over the past week and I have now started to paint the rear wing of his car along with adding the front left suspension and other finer body details. I am aiming the complete the rear wing and add the top camera/engine cooling duct over the next week.
The Lanarkshire
A bit more work has been completed on this over the past few days. I have now finished adding the red and black sections of the hull. I am planning on starting the white section of the hull along with adding some of the finer details on the top deck.
The Lanarkshire
Introducing “The Lanarkshire” a once grand vessel home to many servicemen and women, stationed in the Firth with the task of protecting Britain and its interests. The painting has been commissioned by my client as a birthday present for his fathers 80th birthday whom was once stationed on this fine vessel.
The painting is been created on an A2 Canvas and is again been painted with Oil Paint. The deadline for the project is the end of June and due to its size, details and complexity (especially on the upper deck) I thought it would be important to start it early.
To date I have completed the sky and started to paint the front bodywork of the ship. Over the next week I am aiming to complete the “red and black” zones of the bodywork before moving onto the “white” zone.

Work on the painting of Lewis Hamilton continues at a steady place and so far I am happy with the surface reflections and shadows. I have spent some time adding more detail to the front nose cone along with finishing the front wing along with adding the first wing mirror and associated bodywork above this. I am now aiming to move onto the main section of the car around the vodafone logo with the paint brush.

More work has been completed on the painting of Mika Hakkinen over the past week. The rear right wheel has now been added along with further details on the right side body work of the car. I have also started to add the front nose and some other details. Once dry I am aiming to move onto the front wing of the car.

After a week break for Christmas and New Year I have made some more progress on the painting of Lewis Hamilton over the past day. I have managed to add some more body work at the front of the car behind the front wing and around the front nose cone. I will continue to now add the rest of the nose and other details before moving onto the rest of the body.

Work on the painting of Lewis Hamilton has progressed over the past few weeks. A majority of the front wing and the two front tyres have now been painted. I am now going to leave the painting over the next few days to dry before moving back to the front wing to finish off the remaining parts.

I have started working on the painting of Mika Hakkinen over the past few days. I have decided to start with the right hand side of the car and move over to the left. The images below show how it has progressed. I plan to input either the front nose cone or right hand tyre next.
Lewis Hamilton
I have started working on the painting of Lewis Hamilton in his McClaren from 2008. I have started on the left hand side of the painting and will slowly move over the right hand side. I have managed to paint most of the front wing but a few more panels need to be added before it is fully completed.
Yamaha TZ250
I have managed to finish the painting of the Yamaha TZ250 for my client, the last few details where added such as the chain and spokes on the back wheel along with a few minor amendments and it is now drying ready for delivery on Tuesday. I am also hoping to add a high quality scan of the image onto the website on Tuesday too so please keep checking back for updates. With the bike completed I will now make a start on the paintings of Lewis Hamilton and Mika Hakkinen.
