More progress has been made on the painting of the Yamaha bike and it is now nearing completion. A realistic background has been added with tress etc, along with a track side crash barrier, bike canopy and front wheel spokes. Rear wheel spokes and bike stand need to be added along with a few more background details before the painting is completed. I am aiming to finish the painting within the next week ready for delivery to my client.

More progress has been made with my clients bike over the past few weeks. I have now added the crash barriers, a few shadows, horizon line and some track details. Over the next week I am planning on adding some more background details, bike details and of course the bike wheel spokes. I am aiming to complete the image by the middle of December.

Just another very quick update. The painting of Fernando Alonso is nearly complete after I spent 5 hours adding the track to the painting. I still need to add the steering wheel and a few other details along with amending the shadow on the front left tyre (it looks like it is floating above the track) I am hoping to complete this on Saturday before leaving it to try for a week before scanning.
This will be my last post before revealing the final image so please check back here next Saturday to see the final detailed scanned image.
Next Lewis Hamilton in his McClaren from 2008!

Just another quick update. I have now finished adding the details to the car, this is now complete and the painting is now ready for the track and shadows to be painted in. All being well the painting should be completed by next Sunday. Once dry I am hoping to scan it and if time is available have a professional print made before the Christmas Holidays.

I have also started painting part of the background mostly behind the wheels, once this is dry it will allow me to start adding the wheel spokes and other wheel details. I am aiming to complete this painting by the Christmas break.

I have just started an interesting painting for a client of their Yamaha Bike. I was able to sketch this onto the canvas and add a bit of the body work over the weekend. I have now though run out of Red oil paint and so will need to purchase some more on Saturday to be able to continue. The client has given me no specific deadline for this project but I am aiming for a Christmas finish. The client has also asked for a Good year tyres banner background which will be added at a later date.

Another quick update regarding the Fernando Alonso painting. I have managed to add a few more details to the body work and am now starting to add the front wing and area around the suspension on the front left of the car. I am aiming to be able to put some more details on over the weekend once the image has dried.

I have had a bit of gap between finishing the painting of Michael Schumacher and starting Tissington Church for a client and so I decided to use this time to start a painting of Fernando Alonso in his 2006 Renault from his championship winning year. I have started to paint the rear of the car around the exhaust and body winglets and am hoping to add some more paint during today (Sunday)

So here is the final image of the painting of Michael Schumacher. I really enjoyed painting this, a great challenge and something I would like to continue painting in the future. The painting was also completed on the day Michael went home from hospital which is great news……….. keep fighting and believing Schumi 🙂

I will now be working on a painting of Tissington Church (due for completion by christmas) for a client. In-between this though I am planning on painting Fernado Alonso in his Renault from the 2005/2006 season, followed by the other F1 champions of the noughties!

I spent Thursday evening adding a few more details to the car and adding the background to the painting. I am aiming to over the weekend add the race track as well as add some more visor and glove details along with finishing the shell logo on the front of the car. At present I am still “on track” to finish the painting next weekend 🙂
