The Lancashire Fusilier

Progress on the painting is still continuing and I am very happy that I have now finished adding all the wheels to the locomotive, an especially tricky task taking on average around two hours to get the correct shape of each. The spokes have been added to the main driving wheels and these will be added to the smaller front wheels over the next week. Driving pistons and rods and other connecting details also need to be added along with track, forefront vegetation and smoke from the locomotive. I am hoping to have this painting finished by the end of the Easter break which will allow it plenty of time to dry for a competition which I plan to submit it into during June.

Work on the painting is progressing well. I have now fully finished the tender and the wheels and other details underneath. I have also completed the body of the coach that is attached although a few more details still need to be added along with chassis and wheels. I have also started painting in the main driving wheels underneath the boiler of the locomotive. This should be completed within the next two to three months.

Lola Illustrations

Currently working on a project for my brother which involves illustrating his dog, Lola. For this I am sketching a number of photos of Lola, before tracing them and turning them “cartoon like” I am using black fine liner to highlight her body and face and for colour I am using water colour pencils.

As this is work in progress I will be adding images to this past as I complete more and more illustrations.lola 1 lola 2
