After a very tough week at work (poorly and run down) I decided that I was going to relax in the garden for the weekend and do some painting and so I converted my home made outdoor bench into a work station. Over the weekend I was able to work on Babbington lane adding more Potts window details, the shop sign and some more windows and glass above the shop. I also managed to add some clouds, vapour trails and a rough outline of the cross to the Corbar Cross painting.

Corbar Cross
I have decided to start an A3 Oil painting of Corbar Cross in Buxton. This is based on the same image that was used to create an A4 chalk image of the same feature earlier this year. At present I have only had time to draw the image onto the canvas but I am hoping to add the sky using oil paint a little later in the week. I am also planning on completing a little more work on Babbington Lane and also completing the image of Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari F1-2000.
Corbar Cross
Have spent a bit of time over the past few days adding the sky to the Corbar Cross painting. I still want to add a few more layers for clouds etc on but will have to leave it to dry until weekend. As you can see there are a few more shades and colours used when compared to my previous paintings, this is to try and reflect a setting sun better.
The new logo is here!
Rooney
A new website logo……..coming soon!
My logo was starting to look a bit unclear and untidy and so I have decided to refresh this and produce a brand new logo based loosely on the old logo. I want the new logo to be relatively modern, say who and what I do and also have an interactive side/an element that changes every few weeks (a bit like what google do on their home page) Based on some Facebook feedback and the input from a graphic designer I have produced a range of concepts. Over the next few days I will take one of these concepts forward and start to use it as my new logo. Below shows some of the concepts that I have produced.
Rooney Update
Just a quick update regarding the World Cup painting that I started a few weeks ago. I have managed to paint in most of Wayne Rooney’s details using the templates I created on the Laser Cutter, I have also painted the sides of the canvas and added the lettering. The white oil paint is now drying and awaiting the St George Cross to be added, all being well this should be completed on Thursday, ready for the World Cup festivities to begin.
Babbington Lane Update
Was able to spend most of Saturday afternoon adding more details to the front of Potts Shop. I am now waiting for this to dry before objects into the shop window are added with some reflections. I am also hoping to add the Bright Red R F Potts sign once the painting has dried a little more.
