We have now officially finished 8:30 (Derby Silk Mill and Cathedral) delivery to my client is scheduled for next weekend. Over the next week I will place a high quality image of the finished painting on the site, in the meantime please see the posts below to see the finished image. I have now started an A2 Canvas, again of Buxton Opera House for another client. Over the weekend I managed to sketch in the outline and add the sky.

A Winters Evening.
Another view of Tignes, this time though of Tignes – Le – Lac from the direction of Val Claret on a still cold winters evening (before the snow came!) Really happy with this one considering it was done in a very short amount of time, again using charcoal, chalk, pencil, hardboard and hairspray!
The Mighty Grande Motte, Tignes.
Reflection looking good!
Over the weekend I managed to add the reflection to the painting, as this was my first oil based reflection I was a little nervous. Overall though the end result is quite good and my client was happy with the finish. I am now waiting for the painting to dry and for my client to decide if they would like any forground details (Bushes/trees) adding over the picture.
Reflection next.
A little bit of France
A little bit more!
Work on 8:30 is continuing at a good pace. The background scenery and trees have now been added along with some missing Cathedral details. The painting must now dry over the next few days before leafs can be added to the trees. In the mean time I am going to try and start an A3 chalk drawing of Tignes-le-Lac in France to help me with water reflections.
The three Amigos!
Had an experiment with Chalk, Pencil, MDF and Hairspray over the past few weeks and was able to produce some interesting images.
Two images show Solomans Temple and Corbar Cross in Buxton while the other shows a view from my parents house on Brown Edge.
